For Guest use: Double decks with magnificent view of Smith Mountain Lake, private boat and jet ski dock, fishing equipment, floats, ample parking including boat trailers. Hot tub for six on lower deck. Six acres of lovely gardens, paths, herbs, flowers, benches and serenity.
What to do at Smith Mountain Lake :
Boating - Smith Mountain Lake has 23 Marinas surrounding the lake. Many have boat and jet ski rentals. The Virginia Dare paddle wheeler is 3 miles away.
Fishing - Smith Mountain Lake is regularly stocked with game fish, earning it a reputation as one of the best all-round fishing spots in the eastern United States. The lake is known for its large number of citation size fish and holds the state record for Striped Bass and Muskie caught in Virginia. Citation-sized bass make the lake one of the hottest trophy fishing waters and the site of many fishing tournaments. Fishing guides can be reserved for a half or full day trips. We know the best on the Lake.
Hiking - Smith Mountain Lake State Park has miles of hiking trails, nature walks, and many special events. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only 25 minutes away.
Horseback Riding - Trail rides can be arranged at local stables.
Shopping - Antiques, boutiques or souvenirs, Smith Mountain Lake has abundant options. Bridgewater, West Lake and Bedford are all 20 to 25 minutes from LoveStone Inn.

From Richmond, Virginia: 150 miles
Take US-360 West toward Amelia, approximately 31 miles to VA-307. Take exit on right for 10 miles to US-460 West. Follow US-460W for 76 miles, taking the VA-122 South exit towards Bedford. Turn left on VA-122. Follow VA-122 for 12.5 miles to VA-608 (watch for signs to Smith Mountain State Park) and follow local directions below.
From Roanoke, Virginia: 40 miles
Take VA-24 East/Elm Avenue, exit number 6 off of US-581. Right at light, follow 24 east for 23 miles. Turn right onto VA-122, watch for signs to Smith Mountain State Park.

Bedford, Virginia: 20 Miles
Follow VA-122 for 12.5 miles to VA-608, 6 miles form VA – 24, (watch for signs to Smith Mountain State Park). Turn left onto VA-608 and follow for 6 miles. At stop sign in town of Whitehouse, turn right onto VA-626. Stay on VA-626 @ 1/2 mile past State Park entrance, to Autumn Lane (turn left) - county highway # 1300. At Spring Drive turn Right. At Summer Lane turn Right. LoveStone Inn is first house on left.

Breakfast is included in room rates. Join your fellow guests for our delicious gourmet breakfast. Or, if you prefer, breakfast served in your room. Sample breakfast, served at 9 AM: Bacon & Ham, Italian Strata, Fruit Parfait, Muffins, Coffee/Tea/Juice.
If you are planning a full day out and about, we can pack a picnic for you. Celebrating a special occasion? How about a special dinner on the deck? Our gourmet cook can provide a 5 course, Chef’s Choice dinner with 24 hour notice. Sample Chef’s Choice dinner menu: Shrimp Cocktail with crackers, Rosemary Bread, Herb Garden Salad, Marinated Flank Steak, Summer Vegetable Medley, Roasted Garlic Potatoes, Fresh Peach Parfaits, Tea. Chef’s Choice Dinner price - $35.00 per person, plus tax.
Reservations
Reservations must be secured by a deposit of one night’s stay with a credit card or check in advance. Refunds less 10% processing fee will be made if reservation is canceled with at least 7 days notice for 1-3 nights stays, 14 days notice for stays 4 nights or more. We accept cash, personal checks, traveler’s checks, MasterCard, VISA, LoveStone Inn gift certificate or BBAV gift certificate.
Check-in is between 4 p.m. & 7 p.m., unless special arrangements for early or late arrival have been made. Check-out is at 11 a.m.
No smoking or pets are permitted at LoveStone Inn or PebbleStone Cottage.
Rooms are double occupancy. Children over the age of 12 are welcome. $20.00 charge for an extra person in room.

Queen size bed and two twin beds in stone cottage with full bath and all season room. Ideal for honeymoon and special occasions. Full kitchen and laundry facilities. Children accepted. Five nights minimum stay required.
